Join Graeme as he goes beach fishing and does a catch and cook fresh fish and chips. The fish he caught earlier in the day. He sets out on a shingle beach on the south coast of the UK. Using simple beach fishing gear, Graeme rigs up and casts out. Fishing is tough at first, but as dark comes he starts to get bites. Notable from Dogfish. We he catches, skins and cooks up with some homemade chips. He also hooks into a number of other species. Including: Bass and a PB Sole. Sole is one of the best eating fish in the UK. Usually during winter there is a great bite for the different Mackerel (Cero, Spanish, King). It is usually based on chumming up Ballyhoo and the Macs will follow. It took a while as there was an incoming most of the evening but as soon as it switched and there was an outgoing, the bite turned on. Unfortunately it was right at sunset and with that, the Ballyhoo disappeared and again the Macs followed. It is always a crazy outing with one person, trying to rig wire setups, catch bait, hook and fight the fish, and re-rig when you lose. I gotta figure out a better system. Still. I've been wanting to do some Cuda and Shark fishing with live Mullet on the flats. They typically go crazy over a nice lively Mullet. Unfortunately, with a drop in temperature and winds picking up, most had disappeared. Fortunately, I have a couple of hidden spots where there are sheltered spots that the Mullet like to hang out. Got the bigger net out which worked great as they were staying deep in the channels. Although I wasn't able to get on the flats, I found some action slow trolling them in the channels. A large percentage of fish require warm water to survive, so unless you live in a year-long warm country, the likelihood is, you’ll need a heater to keep your tank at a consistent temperature. In this guide, we’re going to take a look at why you need a heater, the different types of heaters available and then we’ll do a deep dive review into the seven of the best heaters to help you select the best aquarium heater for your needs.
